With around 350 experts working across three global sites, Treatt has a truly diverse workforce.

The success of the business is built on the skills, knowledge and personalities of its people - the central pillar of their organisation. Some staff have been part of the team for over 40 years, working alongside interns and graduates joining them straight from their studies. This variety makes for a rich and stimulating working environment, keeping things fresh whilst allowing new recruits to benefit from the wisdom and expertise of more experienced employees.

At Treatt, cultivating the best possible company culture has been a priority. The values that drive culture and performance have been created and are owned by the workforce. Employees are excited about their careers and are given every opportunity to thrive in an environment where innovative thinking is actively encouraged. Employee benefits are exceptional, and 73% of permanent group employees are shareholders, giving them a vested interest in the long-term success of the business.

The values upheld by every Treatt employee include pride and passion, teamwork, integrity and challenge. These values also extend to their customers, with whom they partner to fully understand their project needs before curating an ideal tailored solution.

Sustainability is embedded in the Treatt DNA and the organisation is developing a formal ESG strategy to build on this which includes a Net Zero Pathway, with support from an ESG Advisory Panel chaired by a NED. This ranges from sustainable sourcing across product ranges, waste management to reducing environmental impact, supporting local charities and, during the pandemic, making and supplying hand sanitiser to local care homes. Treatt understands that its business has an impact on people and the environment, which is why it operates in an ethical and socially responsible way. Treatt is committed to providing greater transparency of critical sustainability issues, specifically environmental, social and governance factors (ESG) and Annual Reports are prepared with reference to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Standards.
